Poplar Trees Reduced in Marple: By Chris Whyatt – Tree Surgeon Stockport Tree Services were asked to reduce a pair of very tall poplar trees in Marple near Stockport. The Trees had grown very tall and were towering over local houses and other buildings. The Poplar trees had rather thin trunks, and their height, coupled with the shallow ground where they were rooted put them at risk of falling in strong winds. Falling trees can cause devastating damage to their surroundings, and the owners of such trees are legally responsible for any damage caused by storm-damaged trees. In addition, these trees were blocking a lot of light out from surrounding houses. Chris and the team are used to working at heights are fully insured, trained and qualified to do so. The Trees were approximately 25 feet tall, and growing in close proximity to shed and fence. Access to the trees and was difficult as it was a long way to move cut branches through the back yard and up some steps to the front of the property where we had our chipper.
