Beech Tree Pruned, Marple – Chris Whyatt, Stockport Tree Services
The Beech needed pruning. The tree was in the front garden of a house in Marple near Stockport. The customer wanted the tree to be shaped as previously done by another surgeon. They wanted to have the tree reshaped for aesthetic reasons and also to maintain the size.
Whilst Tree surgeons generally prefer to do what is best for the tree, sometimes we have to balance that with what the customer wants. If they want the tree-shaped, we shape it for them, so long as the tree is not dangerous, it does no long term harm.
Pruning Trees is What We Do
Pruning trees is what we do day in, day out, so this was no real issue. The beech tree was not too tall and so we didn’t require huge amounts of equipment to carry out the pruning.
The top shoots were trimmed using lopping shears and access to the top of the tree was via ladders.
